I couldn’t attend today’s CRA/COW meetings, but I’m watching on CapeTV. I had planned to speak because I have concerns about Bimini East—particularly committing up to $45.75M in TIF rebates before the complete Development Agreement has been fully considered. This is a major, long-term commitment. I’m not saying “no” to redevelopment; I’m saying we should understand the WHOLE deal before saying “yes.” Transparency and due diligence matter.

This is a hard week. I am always honored to be able to help raise awareness for historical events. We need to remember our history and NEVER forget what makes our country great. 9/11 was a heart wrenching tragedy that ruined so many lives, but 9/12 was the day we all came together as Americans. We were united in the fight against terrorism. It did not matter if you were a Republican or a Democrat we came together to pick up the pieces. Thank you Chief Siezmore for that reminder(more in comment)

I need to thank Take Out the Trash Committee for doing their research and trusting me with their vote of confidence. They are not easy to apease and I had to answer a lot of tough questions. I appreciate the back and forth dialouge and them giving me the chance to prove my comitment to Cape Coral.

I'm at tonight's Cape Coral City Council meeting because some of the best preparation for serving on Council happens long before Election Day.

Tonight I’m listening to Council, City staff and — most importantly — Cape Coral residents.

Whether we agree or disagree, residents deserve leaders who show up, do their homework, ask questions and listen.

That is the kind of Councilmember I intend to be.

🏛️ CITY COUNCIL WEDNESDAY

There is a City Council meeting today at 4:00 PM, and I’ll be there.

There are several items on today's agenda involving infrastructure, spending, stormwater, development regulations and other decisions affecting Cape Coral residents.

I believe that if you are asking residents to trust you with a seat on City Council, you should already be doing the work — reading the agendas, asking questions and showing up.

I’ll be there today doing exactly that.

Stay informed.
