FSC 1140th En Bn We are the FSC 1140th Engineer Battalion.

The purpose of this page is to provide updates to Soldiers and their family members on what the unit is up to, and share information on drill.

In accordance with Army Directive 2025-25, this page will be deactivated on 18 February 2026.

"To ensure brand integrity, governance, and compliance, Army Reserve units (to include NG Units) are authorized to maintain official organizational social media accounts ONLY at the General Officer level and must have oversight by a 46-series Public Affairs Officer." This means that our Company is not included, and our account will be deactivated in order to comply.

This page will remain active until the 18th of this month to allow Soldiers the opportunity to save any photos they may want to from the account.

Thank you for the support throughout the years. If we are able to find an alternative to keep our Service Members and their families engaged, without violating Army Directives, we will implement it. In the meantime, be sure to follow Missouri National Guard to stay informed on Guard happenings throughout the state.

Thank you to the MOGuard Show Me H2F team for putting this together!

Fitness is critical to being an effective warfighter, but fitness means more than just physical. Flip through their newsletter and check out their page to learn more about the H2F team.

I’m excited to share our Q1 H2F Newsletter, which highlights some great updates, resources, and opportunities across the state. Inside, you’ll find information on ongoing initiatives, tools you can use at the unit level, and a professional development opportunity focused on AR 600-9. It is available in PDF and online here https://gamma.app/docs/us85injr6ukfc4h. We wanted to ensure everyone has access to the links, outside of military networks. If there are any accessibility issues please reach out, and I can correct the issue.

The intent of the newsletter is simply to keep everyone connected and informed on what’s available to support readiness and overall Soldier well-being. Whether you’re looking for quick reference materials, ways to engage your formation, or training options for leaders, there’s something in here for

Take a few minutes to check it out and share anything you think would benefit your team.

Appreciate everything you’re doing to move the H2F mission forward.

Respectfully,

MSG Chelsea Dill

FSC was able to promote two NCOs in October, and thank them for their dedication to the Unit as they prepare for their next assignment. Congratulations to 1SG Tom Jones and SSG Preston Mayberry on your promotions, and best of luck at your next duty station. SSG Mayberry was also honored with LTG Levin Hicks Campbell Distinguished Award of Merit from the Ordnance Corps.

To maintain a state of readiness, FSC has been executing training on various Warrior Tasks and Battle Drills, walking through various scenarios and rehearsals to ensure our Soldiers are always prepared for what may come.

The Unit also conducted its first Army Fitness Test for the new Fiscal Year, with a 90% pass rate for the five-event test.

September IDT was the first time back into a normal drilling routine. While much of the weekend was spent on administrative and supply tasks, FSC took time to complete our annual 9/11 Resiliency Ruck march.

We also had the honor of recognizing the career of SFC Michael Pagel, who spent time in both HHC and FSC 1140th EN BN. SFC Pagel retired with 22 years of service, and most recently deployed to Kuwait in support of Operation Spartan Shield. Thank you for your service SFC Pagel, and enjoy retirement!

Always remember.

🇺🇸 Patriot Day | September 11 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the lives lost and the heroes who rose in the face of tragedy on September 11, 2001.

We remember the courage of first responders, the resilience of survivors, and a moment in history when our nation set aside its differences and stood united in its darkest hour.

As we reflect, we reaffirm our commitment to service, unity, and defending the freedoms that define us.

Never forget. We will always remember.

In March, the 1140th EN BN conducted its Transfer of Authority ceremony, turning over operations in Theater to our relieving unit so that we could return home.

Following the ceremony, End of Tour awards were presented to Service Members for their efforts for the duration of the deployment.

Fast forward to one month ago, the 1140th EN BN conducted its Yellow Ribbon event -- the first time the Battalion was together in person since flying home. At Yellow Ribbon, some final End of Tour Awards were presented, and Soldiers who re-enlisted while deployed received their re-enlistment incentive items.

We could not be more appreciative of the support from all our friends and families while deployed. While we return back to regularly scheduled drill this month, and many of our Soldiers have moved on to new units, we will always look back on the time the 1140th spent overseas in support of Operations Spartan Shield and Inherent Resolve with pride.

Please, stay safe and enjoy your Fourth of July weekend!

👀 Heading into the 4th like...“Hold my beer”? Maybe rethink that.

Whether you’re lighting fireworks, hitting the lake, or just enjoying a BBQ, don’t forget the basics:

🎆 Follow firework safety guidelines
🍻 Drink responsibly and have a plan
🫣 If it sounds like a bad idea...it probably is

Celebrate smart. Celebrate safe.
