Levi's Adventure Trail

Levi's Adventure Trail Come one, come ALL! You’re sure to find fun and inspiration at Levi’s Adventure Trail. This page was set up to share Levi's life, pictures and stories.

Also the struggles our family deals with while learning how to deal with our tragic reality. We will share our family with you, our grief journey and our efforts of fund-raising for Levi's Adventure Trail the exhibit that we are built in Levi's Memory. We are now working on the 2nd playground that will be built in Sikeston. The friends and family of Levi have committed to construct an interactive

outdoor exhibit in Levi's honor. We will use this page to keep people up to date on the fund-raising efforts, events planned and our concept for Levi's exhibit. Please go to the events section of this page to keep up with our current and past fund raisers. The playground will have a little river in it. To replicate one of Levi's favorite places to go with his family. Van Buren Missouri on Current River. The family would camp, explore and play in the river. The playground will have a camping area where children that may not be able to go camping can experience it. There will be leaping logs and curious caves. About Levi:

Levi was a happy healthy 3 1/2 year old child that woke up on a Saturday morning with a slight fever. After giving him motrin his temperature was normal and he felt fine. The family went to eat lunch and went shopping. Levi played all afternoon. He layed down to take a nap and after a few hours he was found unresponsive. The Scott County EMT's, ER staff at St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo and Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St Louis, Mo did every thing they could but could not bring Levi back to us. The cause of Levi's death is still unknown. The Medical Examiner said it was a possible complication from a febrile seizure. The only febrile seizure that Levi had and was witnessed was nearly 2 years before the day he died. We will be entering into a research program with the SUDC - Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood program. We are still looking for answers and we won't give up until we have some. We miss Levi so much and we are going to do everything we can to do good in his name. Levi was the sweetest little boy you could have ever met, he was also very loving. He loved to sit in our laps and be close to his family. He was a giver and he loved everyone which is why we are determined to build this fantastic playground in his memory. We want to share with everyone because that is exactly what Levi would have wanted us to do. For more information about SUDC go to their website www.SUDC.org

March 18, 2023, marks 11 years since we lost Levi. Eleven years. Building Levi’s Adventure Trail in Cape County Park South has been a labor of love. It has been a remarkable journey for our family, friends, volunteers, and donors.

Seeing happy children and hearing them laugh fills us with gratitude for the three years we did have Levi with us. They are celebrating life! Levi’s Adventure Trail helps us keep Levi’s spirit alive while providing free playtime for children and their families.

And now, we are bringing Levi’s Adventure Trail to Sikeston, where Levi had many adventures in his brief but beautiful life. We are reaching out to you, our friends, family and to all for the Love of Levi to help us fund this ADA playground in downtown Sikeston.

Please help make this a reality by donating now. ❤️

Levi’s Children’s Charity has been working on a plan for a playground in downtown Sikeston ❤️

We are working on adjusting the colors to more natural but this is the concept 🙂 Of course, orange is Levi’s favorite color so some orange will stay ❤️

We are looking for local donations from groups, businesses, families or individuals who would like to be a part of this addition in Downtown Sikeston.

We are a 501 C3 nonprofit so your donation is tax deductible ❤️ We are working on a matching grant so the more we raise, the more the grant will be! We have $100,000 raised so far and need much more to get it done.

We appreciate any help you’re able to give.
