VFW POST 6024 BUDDY POPPY LUNCHEON
We held our first annual Buddy Poppy luncheon at Antonucci's Italian Restaurant to thank our Buddy Poppy volunteers for helping raise nearly $40,000 in donations last year. The event also served as a pep rally for our upcoming Veterans Day and Memorial Day weekend Buddy Poppy campaigns.

The donations from our two annual Buddy Poppy campaigns provide the primary funding that enables our Post to help assist veterans in need, support active-duty service members and their families, promote youth education through scholarships and essay contests celebrating patriotism and democracy, honor local law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMTs, and back other community service initiatives.

WELCOME FALL POTLUCK PHOTO GALLERY
The VFW Post 6024 Welcome Fall Potluck Dinner was another wonderful gathering for Post and Auxiliary members, along with their families. Held at the Norman Murray Center in Mission Viejo, the event welcomed over 30 attendees. In addition to delicious food and the camaraderie you’d expect, guests enjoyed live classic rock music from The Flashback Band. Special thanks to Auxiliary 6024 for sponsoring the dinner and to Rene Macare for bringing the band and providing the entertainment. Our next event, the Vetsgiving Potluck Dinner, is scheduled for November 17.
