This week, the Greenfield Township Police Department proudly joins communities across the nation in recognizing National Police Week — a time to honor the service, sacrifice, and dedication of law enforcement officers everywhere.

We especially remember the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and we extend our gratitude to the men and women who continue to serve and protect our community each day with professionalism, courage, and compassion.

Our K-9 unit took possession of a new 2025 Dodge Durango to replace our outdated K9 vehicle that had served the township for 7 years. We extend our gratitude to the Greenfield Township Supervisors for their continued support in public safety for the residents and visitors of both Greenfield and Clifford Townships. This unit will service the townships for many years to come.

UPDATE: Deanna K. Stoddard was located, alive and well, at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Stoddard has been reunited with her family and is undergoing medical treatment, police said.

The Pennsylvania State Police Troop R - Gibson Barracks is actively investigating a missing person report for adult female:

Deanna Kathleen STODDARD
DOB: 11/21/1983

STODDARD is described as a Caucasian female, with shoulder length brown hair, approximately 5’05”, 160 lbs., with green eyes.

Unknown recent clothing description. STODDARD is known to commonly wear a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, even while indoors.

STODDARD was last seen at her family’s residence in Lenox Township, Susquehanna County on 04/06/26.

Investigation shows that between 0700 hours and 0900 hours on 04/07/26 STODDARD walked away from her residence in an unknown direction with an unknown destination.

STODDARD is suffering from severe mental psychosis and paranoid delusions.

STODDARD does not have a means of transportation and may be on foot.

Greenfield Township Police are investigating several illegal dumping incidents on State Route 247, 2023 and 2014 in Clifford Township. It is believed that incidents occurred from Saturday, February 28th and Monday, March 2nd during the late night hours. Anyone with information is asked to contact Greenfield Township Police at 570-282-7000 ext 1.
