The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from noon Tuesday to 9 AM Wednesday.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 6 inches with locally higher amounts possible.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning
commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Light snow is possible early Tuesday which may bring light accumulations and bring hazardous travel
conditions. However, the heavy snowfall is expected later in the afternoon and into the night.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can

The NWS has issued a Winter Storm Watch in effect from late Monday night through Wednesday morning.

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 9 inches possible.

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Dangerous cold temperatures will follow after snow ends. Low temperatures in the teens Wednesday morning and single digits Thursday morning will cause wind chills to drop below zero. The greatest impacts from the extreme cold will occur
Thursday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is winterized and in good working order.

Heavy rain is forecast Friday night through Saturday. Rainfall totals of 1 to 4 inches, with localized higher amounts, are forecast. These amounts would likely lead to flooding concerns including rises along area rivers. Stay tuned for updates on what looks to be a rather impactful system this coming weekend!
