Calling all chocolate lovers... the countdown is officially on. 🍫

30 days from now, we'll all be together at Taste of Chocolate 2026 and we can't wait.

Join us Saturday, October 3, from 5–9 PM at the ThrillHouse Event Center in Marion for chocolate-inspired experiences, live entertainment, and both live and silent auctions.

Taste the world, make an impact, empower new beginnings.

Behind every sweet moment is a serious purpose. For more than 50 years, the Survivor Empowerment Center has been a safe place to turn for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault across southern Illinois for free, confidential shelter, counseling, and advocacy, because safety is a right, not a privilege.

Thirty days. One unforgettable night. Be part of it.

During our monthly staff meeting, our team participated in a workshop focused on addressing communication challenges identified through our organizational culture survey.

Together, we explored creative solutions, shared ideas, and strengthened our commitment to working more effectively as a team. By improving how we communicate and collaborate, we can continue providing the best possible support and services to our community.

We are always learning, growing, and working together to better serve survivors and our Southern Illinois community. 💜
