Foothills Caring Corps is honored to be a 2026 Arizona Financial Foundation Local Causes Grant finalist! Now our community has the opportunity to help us bring home grant funding that can make an important difference for the neighbors we serve.

The Local Causes program is awarding $300,000 in grants to Arizona nonprofits, with awards starting at $5,000. Your vote can help us continue providing services that help our neighbors remain independent, connected, and supported in our community. From transportation and Mobile Meals to social outings, friendly visits, mobility equipment and more, every bit of support helps us continue caring for our neighbors.

Going out on a high noteโ€ฆ literally. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

As we wrap up our celebration of outgoing Board members, we saved a pretty special one for last.

Susie Dymoke has been part of the Caring Corps family since 2011, long before her six years of service on our Board. And if thereโ€™s a way to pitch in, chances are Susie has done it.

Friendly Visits. Rides to medical appointments. Golf tournaments and events. Representing Caring Corps out in the community. Serving on committees. And, most recently, removing ceiling tiles from the new building.

Susie brings something pretty wonderful to Caring Corps and our Neighbors. Sheโ€™s smart, sheโ€™s fun, she shows up, and she genuinely cares about this community. It's just *brilliant* if you will! ๐Ÿ˜‰

During her six years on the Board, Susie helped shape Caring Corps into the organization we are today. And when asked which Board decisions make her especially proud, two rise right to the top: helping bring Brent Downs on as our Executive Director (THANK YOU THANK YOU, SUSIE!) and voting YES on the purchase of our beautiful new home.

Think about those two things for a minute. The right leader at the right time and a new home from which Caring Corps can grow and serve our community for years to come. Thatโ€™s LEGACY.

And while her Board term has ended, Susie certainly isn't going anywhere. She continues to give her time to Caring Corps and throughout our community. Sheโ€™s also an active volunteer with the Town of Carefree and Hospice of the Valley, both close to her heart.

Susie, thank you for 15 years ((and counting)) of showing up, pitching in, speaking up, laughing with us, and helping move Caring Corps forwardโ€ฆ.sometimes from several feet in the air.

We are better because youโ€™ve been part of the journey. ๐Ÿ’Ÿ

Itโ€™s truly happening! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

CARING CORPS DEMO WEEK is here! Of course, some of our amazing volunteers and Board members are showing up to help. We are so incredibly lucky.

And the really exciting part?? Beyond the tools, the dust, and the ceiling panels being removed? All the people weโ€™re going to be able to help for years and years to come!!

We are moving, stepping into a larger facility, and growing! To work more efficiently, host more community partners, store more mobility loan equipment, expand memory and caregiver support, and keep responding to THIS communityโ€™s needs.

We donโ€™t take that lightly, we are honored.

In the meantime, letโ€™s take down some walls!!
