Good morning!

We've had a lot of questions about the Community Mural Project, so we wanted to share a few additional details. These photos show what the finished mural will look like, a sample of the tile you'll be painting, the location where the mural will be installed, and an example of the instructions included with each kit.

We want this to be a true community project. Smaller children may need a little help from an adult, but everyone is welcome to participate.

Tile kits are available at City Hall and include everything you need to complete your tile. Tiles are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we have a limited number remaining.

Once all of the tiles are returned, they'll be assembled into the mosaic mural.

If you pick up a tile, please remember that it must be completed and returned to City Hall by June 18 to be included in the mural.

We're so excited about this project, and we can't wait to see everyone's creativity!

Good afternoon!

The City of Carl Junction is excited to invite our community to take part in a special art project in honor of America’s 250th Birthday!
We are creating a large mosaic tile mural, and we need your help to bring it to life! Each tile will be individually painted by community members and combined to form one large, unified mural. The tiles will come with everything you need, including paint and instructions.
To participate:

Sign up at City Hall (limited tiles are available)
Take home your tile kit with instructions and paint
Return your completed tile to City Hall by June 18th, 2026, to be part of the final mural display

We are so excited to come together as a community to create a lasting piece of art that our community will be proud of for years to come!

A limited number of tiles are available and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Residents in parts of Oscie Ora Acres along Rocky Lane and Gum Road will be without water while our crews repair a broken water line. They are working to restore service as quickly as they can.

We just received word from MODOT that the Railroad has had some scheduling complications, and Route Z & HWY 171 aka Pennell and HWY 171, WILL be open tomorrow. Look for closings to be happening soon.

Just in case you haven't seen the signs on Highway 171, MoDOT Southwest Missouri will have Route Z, aka Pennell, closed just west of the railroad tracks on Thursday May 28 from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. Please plan an alternative route if you'll be traveling that way tomorrow.

Good afternoon! Due to repairs, water service will be temporarily shut off in the areas of Briar Meadow, Bair Dr., Bair Circle, Victoria Circle, some homes on Briar Brook Dr., and approximately 12 homes on Anita Dr. Our Public Works Department is working hard to restore service as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
