If you need police assistance, please contact Central Dispatch - 777-7300 for non-emergencies, 911 for emergencies. Our office hours are M-F 8am to 5pm, but you can always get an officer 24 hours a day by calling dispatch.

While the wreck is still being cleaned up I-80 westbound has one lane open with traffic having an intermittent flow. We know that traffic is backing up everywhere in town and if you can avoid the areas, please do. We dont want you to be part of another accident.

🚨 Carlin Police Department OHV Safety Reminder 🚨
As the weather warms up and more riders hit the trails, the Carlin Police Department wants to remind everyone about important Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) laws to keep our community safe.
Key OHV Rules to Remember:
• OHVs may be operated on designated public streets, roads, or highways in Carlin only if the operator holds a valid driver’s license.
• No person under 16 years old may operate an OHV on any public street, road, or highway in the City of Carlin.
• All operators and riders must wear helmets when operating on city, town, or county maintained roads.
• OHVs must be properly registered with a Nevada Certificate of Operation (or valid out-of-state sticker) attached to the left rear fender.
• Respect private property and observe all posted signs.
Our goal is to ensure safe, responsible OHV use for everyone in Carlin. Let’s work together to prevent accidents and keep our roads and trails safe.
