The Macoupin/Montgomery Counties Crime Stoppers and the Carlinville Police Department are asking for information to help nab the GRINCH(S) who stole almost $3,000 worth of tools and materials from a Non-profit group in Carlinville.

Sometime on Christmas Eve someone broke into the building where THE SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE (Carlinville) build and store their beds that they deliver to those in need, ensuring that NO kid sleeps on the floor.

The Carlinville Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Dispatcher. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, high school graduate or equivalent, and be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation. Starting salary is $45,136 per year, paid medical, eye, dental insurance, IRMF retirement , and 10 vacation days after completion of first year.
