🏛 Town Administrator Report – August 25, 2026

There’s a lot happening around Carlisle as we head toward fall. Here are a few highlights from the latest Town Administrator Report:

🚧 Roads & Infrastructure: The annual paving program begins the week of September 21, covering Heald, North, West, Pope, Indian Hill, Judy Farm, South, and Autumn Roads, along with drainage work on Audubon Lane. The Town is also advancing final design work for four critical culverts—three on East Street and one on Tophet Road.
🚶 Connected Carlisle: A CPC grant application is moving forward to support ADA improvements to the sidewalk and its connection to Diment Park.
🏗️ Capital Projects: Work continues on Carlisle’s major building projects. The Police Station remains behind schedule but within budget, while Fire Station construction has begun. Procurement is also underway for several school facility projects.
👏 Town Staff: Congratulations to Jennine Blum on her promotion to Health Agent. Town employees also participated in our second annual Employee Development Day, combining required training, tours of Town facilities and projects, and professional development. It was another reminder of how thoughtful, engaged, and committed our staff are to serving Carlisle.
☕ Stay Connected: The next TA Coffee Hour is Tuesday, September 15 at 10:30 a.m. on the Town Hall patio. Residents can also follow Town news through email alerts, the monthly newsletter, and the Carlisle Connection Podcast.
🎙️ Listen to the Carlisle Connection Podcast or read the complete Town Administrator Report for all the details.

The Concord Carlisle Foundation is partnering with Kicks for Cancer to help ensure every K–12 student in Concord can take part in this beloved community tradition. This year, we're expanding access so that any student or family needing assistance can receive a pink Kicks for Cancer t-shirt.

You can help in two ways!

Donate new or gently used Kicks for Cancer pink shirts at the Community Closet on September 12 from 10-12pm or the Concord Carlisle Foundation office during our collection days: August 25–27 and September 1–3, from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m..

You can also purchase a new shirt to donate at the Kicks Pop-Up Merch Sale on Saturday, September 19 at CCHS or at Back to School Nights in Carlisle on September 17th and 24th.

Follow CCF and Kicks for Cancer social media channels for additional info.

Together, we can make sure every student has the opportunity to participate and show their support for this special community event.

August 31st, 2026 marks the 25th annual International Overdose Awareness Day. In honor of this day, the Carlisle Health Department has put up a display of purple flags on the town green. Each flag in the display represents one of the 978 lives lost to opioid overdose in Massachusetts in 2025. While this is the first time we have seen opioid related overdose deaths fall below one thousand in Massachusetts since 2013, there is still more that can be done to reduce these unnecessary deaths.
