It is with profound sadness that the Middlesex Township Police Department announces the unexpected passing of Officer Michael "Mike" McGeehan on July 11, 2026.

For the past 12 years, Mike faithfully served the residents of Middlesex Township with professionalism, integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to doing the job well. He took tremendous pride in being a police officer and worked to become a strong and trusted leader within our department. Mike was someone his fellow officers could depend on, both on duty and in life. Over the years, he developed close friendships and lasting partnerships with the people he worked beside. Many of them considered him not only a colleague, but family. His loss has left our department heartbroken, and the impact of his service, friendship, and leadership will remain with us for years to come.

Beyond the badge, Mike was a devoted husband to his wife, Nicole, and an incredibly proud and dedicated father to his sons, Landon, Brady, Cooper, and twin boys, Colton and Chase. His family was the center of his world, and there was no role he valued more than being a husband and father. Whether he was serving his community, coaching his sons' track and football teams, or simply showing up for the people he loved, Mike gave his time, his heart, and his full commitment to those around him.

As Nicole and the boys begin to face life without Mike, the Middlesex Township Police Department has partnered with Help A Hero to establish a fundraiser in support of the McGeehan family. This is an opportunity for the community Mike served so faithfully, and the law enforcement family he proudly stood beside, to now stand behind his wife and sons during the most difficult chapter of their lives.

We are asking our community, fellow law enforcement agencies, friends, and supporters to help us surround the McGeehan family with the same strength and support Mike gave to so many others. Every donation will go directly toward supporting Nicole and the boys as they navigate the immediate and ongoing financial challenges created by this sudden and devastating loss. Please donate, share this fundraiser, and help us carry some of the weight for the family Mike loved more than anything.

On behalf of the McGeehan family and every member of the Middlesex Township Police Department, thank you for your generosity, prayers, and support. Please continue to keep Nicole, the boys, Mike's friends and fellow officers, and all who knew and loved him in your thoughts.
