Friday, June 12, 34 international senior officer students from the U.S. Army War College International Fellows Academic Preparatory Course visited Dickinson College. The fellows were greeted by Dr. Lucy McInerney, Director of the Dickinson College Writing Center. McInerney invited the APC students to utilize the center for one-on-one writing assistance throughout the upcoming year. Dr. McInerney also facilitated an interactive discussion on the writing process, highlighting the value of personalized, in-person feedback over AI resources. The APC is a rigorous 9-week program designed to help International Fellows smoothly transition into the demanding U.S. academic environment. The course focuses on elevating graduate-level writing, research, and critical thinking skills, ensuring our international partners are fully prepared for success before the core academic year even begins.
