Join us all day tomorrow for National Donut Day! National Donut Day became a holiday thanks to The Salvation Army’s work during World War I. In 1938, The “Donut Lassies” traveled overseas to provide emotional and spiritual support, supplies, and other services to our troops on the front lines in France. The Lassies also provided fresh donuts and hot coffee to soldiers fighting in the trenches in order to raise their spirits and thank them for their service.

June is just about here, and we cannot wait to welcome you to our planned events! See our calendar and event details so you can be ready to join us all month long.

5 June, All Day – Donut Day: Join us 5 June for National Donut Day. Celebrate with a delicious donut anytime of the day for the special occasion!

12 June, 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Bring your friends and family for an afternoon ice cream and chalk social. We will have a variety of frozen treats to choose from that you will want during the warmer weather! While you snack, sneak outside and make some chalk creations on the sidewalks that will brighten up our building.

15 June – 19 June, All Week – Father’s Day Card Creation: Show a father in your life how much you appreciate them this upcoming Father’s Day. We will have a selection of cards for you to make and take home all week long.

22 June – 30 June – Summer Fun Raffle Baskets: To start summer off right, participate in our end of month raffle basket giveaway! Come by our office between 22 June and 30 June to submit a ticket for one of five raffle baskets available and you may just be a winner! Each basket will be inspired by the summer season upon us. Winners will be announced on 1 July so stay tuned for all our updates!
