6/6/26: Utility 45 and Boat 45 w/4 attended the Annual Steve Fealtman Run at Opossum Lake. Co.45 was on standby in the event a participant needed assistance/evacuated via the water. Fortunately no incidents were handled and the event had a great turn out!

6/2/26- CFRS 45 conducted hose line advancement training using uncharged and charged hose. Teams of two worked together to advance hose lines to target area while exercising technical skills and effective communication. Tonight’s training demonstrated the importance of team work and experience.

Delayed Post: This past Tuesday for our weekly in house training our crews focused on Rope Rescue. Members went over the rope equipment on the Rescue and got a first look at the new rope equipment purchased for Tower 45. Crews set up 3:1, 5:1, and 9:1 hauling systems using the “older” technology then transitioned to setting up the same systems with the “new” technology. D/O Brenneman and McDonald also set up Tower 45 and demonstrated using the aerial as a high anchor point.

Our crews will continue to train on specialized rescue throughout the summer. Stay Tuned!
