What inspired you to work EMS? I originally was going to school to be a nurse, ended up taking an EMT class, and fell in love with it
What do you enjoy most about serving the community? Getting to follow up with patients, and see their outcomes.
What is one thing you wish the public knew about EMS? It may not always seem like it but we put a lot of time and effort into our jobs. Missing holidays, events, special occasions. We spend numerous hours training and learning. Everything we do is trying to help better our service and community.
What does community support mean to you? Giving grace when we need it. We aren’t perfect, and sometimes grace goes a long way.
Message to the community during EMS week: please have your house/mailbox clearly marked with numbers. It makes it so much easier to know where we’re going when we can see house numbers.
