What an incredible afternoon!

We are deeply grateful to The Foundation for Enhancing Communities & Wakeen & Company for selecting Bethany House for the Stories That Serve grant—not only sharing our story through one film, but creating two beautiful short films that capture the heart of our mission and the courage of the young women we serve.

Today’s premiere was amazing! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate, learn more about our work, and support Bethany House. We are continually humbled by the generosity of a community that believes in our young women and shows up for them so faithfully.

These films will help us share our mission, reach new partners, and invite even more people to become part of the next chapter of Bethany House. Thank you, TFEC and Wakeen & Company, for helping us tell these important stories with such care, authenticity, and excellence. We are so grateful!

✨ One Girl’s Journey: From Surviving to Thriving ✨
We often say that Bethany House is what each young woman chooses to make of it. We can provide a safe place, encouragement, resources, guidance, and a community that believes in her—but she has to choose to do the hard work.

Today, we want to celebrate the journey of one incredible young woman. We’ll call her Delaney to protect her privacy.

Delaney came to Bethany House after experiencing foster care, adoption, and eventually needing to flee an unhealthy environment. When she first came to us, there was a lot of trauma to work through and a lot of healing that needed to happen.
And she did the work. ❤️

Over the past three years, Delaney has:

• Saved money and learned to make wise financial decisions
• Purchased a dependable car
• Maintained steady employment
• Had the courage to change jobs until she found a career field that better matched her skills—and increased her income
• Moved into shared housing with roommates
• And most recently… moved into an apartment completely on her own! 🏡

Perhaps one of the things we are most proud of is that she made this move without financial assistance from local agencies and without depleting the savings she worked so hard to build.

But Delaney’s success isn't only measured by her bank account, job, car, or apartment.
She volunteers in our community. She makes friends wherever she goes. She looks for opportunities to bless others. And she continues to be part of the Bethany House family.

This is what hard work and determination can do when it is surrounded by a community that cares.
To every person who donates, volunteers, provides a meal, teaches a life skill, offers encouragement, gives toward transportation, supports our programs, or simply believes in these young women—you are part of stories like Delaney’s.

And Delaney, we hope you know just how incredibly proud we are of you. 💙

“Delaney” is a fictitious name used to protect the young woman’s privacy.
