𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

We're here to help keep you safe! APD and AFD want you to be aware of the extreme cold watch in our area Thursday night through Saturday morning.

Dangerously cold wind chills — up to 45° below zero — are possible across much of Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗲 can occur on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲:
• Dress in layers; cover your head, face, and hands
• Keep pets indoors; ensure livestock have warm shelter and unfrozen water
• Check on older adults, family, friends, and neighbors
• Use heaters safely; never use grills or generators indoors

We enjoy sharing the good work of our amazing firefighters and those who support them. Thank you to all who helped make the annual Heroes for Helpers event a huge success. Firefighters shop with selected children to make their holiday even more special. A special shout out to the team that coordinated this year's event: Troy Becker, Jeremy Gordhammer, and Karin Anderson.
