🏆 CONCRETE BUILDS COMMUNITIES. AND THE CONCRETE INDUSTRY SHOWED UP AS A CHAMPION FOR COLFAX! 🛹

Thank you to ABC10 Sacramento for featuring the Colfax Skatepark in their Champions of Hope segment and highlighting the incredible collaboration behind this project.

After 11 years of determination and community advocacy, the Colfax Skatepark became a reality. And when it came time to build, 12 concrete industry companies came together to donate 100% of the concrete for the skatepark, including cement, aggregates, color, concrete batching, and deliveries.

From donating raw materials to providing trucks, drivers, and transportation, these companies worked together to deliver a consistent, high-quality concrete product for the entire project.

Companies that might normally compete in business came together around something bigger than themselves: creating a place where kids can skate, families can gather, and the community can take pride for generations to come.

That’s the power of collaboration. That’s the power of concrete. That’s how concrete builds communities! ❤️

We know many of you have been excited to meet and skate with at the grand opening. Unfortunately, Mike McGill is unable to attend due to unanticipated circumstances. He is disappointed to miss the Grand Opening and sends his best to those attending.

CONCRETE + COMMUNITY. BUILT TOGETHER. 🛹

The Colfax Skatepark is more than a new place to ride. It’s the result of a community that has advocated for this project for more than 25 years, and a concrete industry that came together to help make that vision a reality.

Companies that might normally compete in the marketplace worked side by side to provide the materials, equipment, trucks, drivers, and labor needed to build the park.

Pan Pacific Cement donated the cement. Teichert’s Western Aggregates provided the aggregates. Solomon Colors provided the pigment. A&A Ready Mixed batched the concrete at its Colfax plant using one consistent mix design throughout the project.

A&A, CEMEX, Folsom Ready Mix, Hanford Sand & Gravel, Livingston’s Concrete, Mathews Ready Mix, and West Coast Outlaws provided trucks and drivers to deliver the concrete. Bear River Aggregates is also contributing decorative rock for the final landscaping.

Together, these companies helped turn years of community advocacy into something people can actually see, ride, and enjoy.

And this project represents something bigger, too. It’s an opportunity to show students and the community the education, skills, and career opportunities available throughout the concrete and construction materials industries.

Now it’s time to celebrate!
