Mayor Robert Zimmermann and the members of the Borough Council are proud to present the Carlstadt Street Fair on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The Fair will take place on Hackensack Street from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, rain or shine.

The fair will feature entertainment, family fun, games children's rides, various vendors, and adult beverages.

FREE PARKING AND SHUTTLE SERVICE – will be available at the following locations.

• Carlstadt Community Garden
o Seventh Street and Division Avenue
• Carlstadt Turn Hall
o 500 Broad Street
• Carlstadt Sports Complex Lot
o Broad and Orchard Streets

So come out and join your neighbors for a day of fun.

Changes to Borough services and garbage due to upcoming Holiday.

Due to the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday, there will be changes in many Borough services. Please be advised of the following changes.

Garbage & Recycling – Due to the Holiday, there will be no garbage collection on Monday. The entire town will be collected on Tuesday.

Parking – Alternate Side of the Street Parking rules will be suspended on Monday. Overnight Parking rules will remain in effect. Emergency No Parking Rules may be put into effect in certain areas to allow for Memorial Day Observances. Please follow any posted signs.

Transportation – The Senior Bus and Medical Transport will be suspended on Monday. Services will resume on Tuesday.

Road Closures – There will be numerous road closures due to the Memorial Day Parade and observances during the morning hours. Please avoid driving in these areas or plan alternate routes. The following roads will be closed:

• Hoboken Road – From Hackensack Street to Seventh Street
• Broad Street – From Hackensack Street to Jefferson Street
• Central Avenue - From Hackensack Street to Jefferson Street
• Division Avenue – From Hackensack Street to Third Street
• Madison Street – From Broad Street to Central Avenue
• Third Street – From Broad Street to Division Avenue
• Hackensack Street – From Hoboken Road to Central Avenue
• Seventh Street – From Hoboken Road to Berry Avenue

Streets will open and close based on the movement of the parade.

Borough Hall – The Borough Hall will be closed on Friday. May 22nd and will reopen Tuesday, May 26th. Hours for Borough Hall are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Municipal Court – Court sessions continue to be held virtually. The court offices are open to assist those who have business with the court. The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The office will be closed during court sessions in order to enable the staff the ability to assist those scheduled. However, the office will be closed on Monday in observance of the holiday and will reopen on Tuesday.

Library -- The William E. Dermody Free Public Library will be closed on Monday, May and will reopen on Tuesday, M. Hours for the Library are 10am to 8pm, Monday through Thursday; 10 am to 5 pm on Fridays; and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. Masks are optional. NOTE: THE LIBRARY WILL BE OPEN ON SATURDAY, MAY 23rd.

The Carlstadt Library and the Carlstadt Community Garden are hosting The Big Dig, a family-friendly gardening event, on Sunday, May 31 at 1:00pm. Join us at Carlstadt’s beautiful oasis for the annual planting of the butterfly garden beds. Bring your gardening tools! All who attend will receive a milkweed plant to take home. Student volunteers will receive a letter confirming community service hours. The Carlstadt Community Garden is located at the corner of 7th Street and Division Avenue, in Carlstadt. Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit www.redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment. Maximize your blood donation. Help more patients. If you are an eligible type O, B - or A - donor, consider making a Power Red donation. Red blood cells are the most commonly transfused blood component. The Carlstadt Little League will be having their 75th Opening Day Parade and Ceremony on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The parade starts at 9:00 AM @ Borough Hall and goes to the Little League Field on Ninth Street. Opening ceremony begins at 9:30 AM. Games begin after the ceremony on both the Major League and Minor League Fields. Come out and support our local youth athletes.

The Carlstadt Little League, (CLL) will be celebrating their 75th Anniversary with a special opening ceremony at the field. CLL is in looking for any players or coaches played in the League particularly interested alumni from the 1950’s. If you did, CLL would like your participation in a ceremony at the field. If you would like to be part of the parade from the Borough Hall to the field, they will meet at the Borough Hall at 9:00 AM. If you would rather skip the parade, you can gather at the Little League field at 9:30 AM. Once the ceremony begins and the teams start coming onto the field, please join them near the pitcher’s mound.

Please notify the League that you will be attending, please send them an email at [email protected] Please provide them with your name, the years you played and the team you played on or coached.

The League hopes to have a large turnout.

The Carlstadt Mayor and Council are proud to present Springfest 2026. Join us for a day of family fun at Village Green on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM.

There will be displays from various local organizations as well as Inflatables, a Petting Zoo, Photo Booth, Egg Hunt, Treats, and Beverages. There is the possibility that a certain Bunny may hop into the fest for pictures.
