The Carlton Volunteer Fire Department has been providing fire suppression to the citizens of Madison County, since January 1968. What started out as a fire brigade of a few farmers an

d citizens; has evolved into an established volunteer fire department, with over 10 active volunteer emergency responders, 4 operating emergency response vehicles, and 2 stations. The Carlton Volunteer Fire Department is in the City of Carlton 20 miles east of Athens. Thank you for stopping by!

Crawford W. Long has been cleared and is now opened.

Attn Danielsville area travelers.

Crawford W. Long will be shut down the major portion of the day due to an accident. The accident resulted in a fallen tree and power lines down. Ga Power has been notified and has an extended ETA.

The MC Road Dept is on scene. There will be road closures in place at the intersection of 98 and Crawford W. Long. Also at Mulberry Ln and Crawford W. Long.

Please avoid the area if possible.
