Starting tomorrow, 6/6/26, through next week, there will be intermittent lane closures on Springmill SB south of Main St. for curb replacement work. Please use caution, expect minor delays, and watch for crews and equipment in the area. Thank you for your patience!

⚠️Traffic Advisory ⚠️

Tomorrow 6/3/2026 and Thursday 6/4/2026 from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, crews will be performing landscaping work in the inside eastbound lane of 116th Street between AAA Way and Keystone.

The far interior lane next to the median will be closed, with traffic shifted right. Please use caution and expect minor delays.

Huge thank you to Mayor Finkam for spending the afternoon with the Carmel Street Department! 🚧👷‍♂️

We had a great time showing her some of the many ways our crews work every day to keep Carmel safe, clean, and moving smoothly. From stormwater and street maintenance to equipment operations, it was a fun afternoon highlighting the hard work that happens behind the scenes to keep our city looking its best.

Congratulations to the Street Department’s Eric Shanayda and ICS’s Kurt Shanayda for receiving the “Excellence in GIS Award” at the Indiana Geographic Information Council Conference in Bloomington, IN!

Their award-winning project, “Vehicle Maintenance Software Integration,” showcases innovation, dedication, and the importance of collaboration between departments to better serve our community. Great work, Eric and Kurt, on this outstanding achievement!

🚧111th St & Pennsylvania St 🚧

Our crews will be working on storm inlets today, May 19, at the intersection of 111th St and Pennsylvania St. Work will impact EB traffic on 111th St and NB traffic on Pennsylvania St.

The right lane of SB Keystone Ave at 106th St is currently closed due to high water. Please use caution, allow extra travel time, and drive carefully if you must be in the area.

As always, try to avoid driving through standing water. Stay safe!

Our crews will be repairing a sinkhole storm inlet at E 106th St & Central Ave beginning today, 5/13 and possibly continuing into Thursday, 5/14.

⚠️ Westbound E 106th St will be closed in the area and traffic control will be in place. Please plan ahead, use caution, and consider an alternate route.
