Dispatches from the Cowgirl: The Importance of Storytelling and Owning Your narrative.
A cowgirl-turned-nomadic-Navy-spouse-turned-author, Julie Tully writes about life, culture, and the places they intersect and uses her passion for storytelling to build connections amongst people, no matter their background. Julie will discuss her life journey as featured in her award-winning memoir. She is a sought-after speaker, using her unlikely and unique journey to highlight the importance of storytelling in our society.
Over the years, Julie has worn many different professional hats: researcher, marketing and public relations expert, communications specialist, bookstore manager, ghostwriter, and editor. Julie currently balances her work as an author with her role as Managing Editor of W. Brand Publishing. She is lucky to have called three continents and seven countries home and currently lives in Monterey with her family and two rambunctious cats.
