Fahnestock State Park

Fahnestock State Park Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park is well known for its extensive hiking trails, scenic campground, and opportunities for boating, hunting, and fishing.

The Winter Park offers 20 kilometers of groomed trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Fahnestock winter park trail conditions report.

We will be open friday from 9 to 430
Rentals of skis snowshoes and tubes will be available. Cafe open with hot food snacks and drinks. Snowshoe trails and Tubing hill are open. All trails are groomed except the lake . Track is being layed where possible. Conditions are good for skate and classic skiing.
Lake is open but not being groomed at the moment due to slushing issues. We are hoping cold temps change that.

All trails including lake are open. All trails are groomed except the lake . Track is being layed where possible. Conditions are starting to get firmer and are good for skate and classic skiing.
Lake is not being groomed at the moment due to slushing and frozen snow.

We will be open Wednesday from 9 to 430
Rentals of skis snowshoes and tubes will be available. Cafe open with hot food snacks and drinks. Snowshoe trails Tubing hill are open.
All trails including lake are open. Approx 50 % of trails are groomed and tracked . The rest will be groomed tomorrow. Conditions are soft but good for skate and classic skiing.
Lake is not being groomed at the moment due to slushing and frozen snow.

Winter park will be open Saturday from 9 to 430. Grooming lake, fields and campground. All other areas too thin to groom cafe open with hot food drinks and snacks. Rentals available

Winter park is closed today. Rain did a lot of damage to trails. Forecast is calling for 4 inches of snow tomorrow afternoon so hopefully we will get open again soon

Conditions good on lake, campground and field loops. Conditions thin but skiable on trails in the woods

We rent skis, snowshoes and tubes
Cafe is open with bagels, baked goods,
Chili, soup hot and cold drinks.
Conditions very good for skiing on upper and lower Canopus lake, the beach, fields and the campground.
Conditions thin but skiable on all the woods trails.

Conditions good for ice fishing
Conditions are not good for skating due to a hard frozen crust that has developed on top of the ice
