🚨 MVA – Route 52 🚨

On August 8, 2026, at approximately 10:25 PM, the Lake Carmel Fire Department was dispatched for a reported two-vehicle head-on collision on Route 52.

Fire Department units arrived within minutes and found a pickup truck and minivan involved, with one occupant trapped inside a vehicle.

Lake Carmel firefighters worked alongside the Town of Kent Police Department, Town of Kent EMS, Carmel Ambulance, Medic 3, and Medic 4 to safely extricate the patient from the vehicle. The patient was then transferred to an awaiting ambulance and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Route 52 was closed for a period of time while emergency crews operated and the incident was investigated.

We thank all responding agencies for their teamwork and assistance throughout the incident.

The Lake Carmel Fire Department was proud to participate in the Pawling Fire Department Parade, with over 25 of our members proudly representing our department.

We’re honored to have brought home two trophies:
-Best Appearing Apparatus (2015–2025)

-Best Non-Regulation

These awards are a reflection of the pride, dedication, and hard work our members put into maintaining our apparatus and representing Lake Carmel wherever we go.

Thank you to the Pawling Fire Department for hosting an outstanding parade. We value our strong relationship with them and look forward to continuing working together.

🚒 National Night Out 2026 🇺🇸

The Lake Carmel Fire Department was proud to attend the Town of Kent’s National Night Out!
It was a great evening spending time with our community, meeting local families, and joining our fellow first responders and community organizations.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and check out our apparatus. We always enjoy opportunities like this to connect with the community we’re proud to serve!
