🌲🔥 FUELS MITIGATION IN ACTION 🔥🌲

Starting Monday, the Cypress Fire District Chipper Program will be out in the Cypress Fire District, assisting residents with fuels mitigation efforts to help reduce wildfire risk in the community.

Programs like this play a vital role in creating defensible space and strengthening neighborhood wildfire preparedness.

🎅🚁 Santa Drop Success in Carmel 🚁🎅

The Santa Drop and toy drive at the Barnyard in Carmel was a huge success. CAL FIRE was proud to be part of this community event, helping spread holiday cheer while supporting local families.

Thank you to everyone who donated toys, volunteered their time, and came out to support this special event. It’s an honor to serve our communities—not only during emergencies, but during moments like these that bring us together.

Our UAS program was recently featured in the Monterey Herald! 🚁
It’s exciting to see how this emerging technology is already making a real impact on safety, efficiency, and the way we serve our community. We’re proud of the progress so far — and even more excited about what the future holds.

Cal Fire San Benito-Monterey has the largest unmanned aircraft systems program of its kind in the state, in both number of pilots and flight hours.

The new Medic Squad 25 is now in service, responding out of our Rio Road Station just outside of Carmel! This custom-built unit was designed to meet the unique needs of the district and replaces an older vehicle that had reached the end of its service life.

This upgrade ensures our crews can continue to deliver the highest level of emergency medical service to the community.

🚨🧟‍♂️ 11th Annual Pebble Beach Zombie Run & Disaster Preparedness Fair! 🧟‍♀️🚨

This year’s event went off without a hitch! Runners of all ages took part in the 10K, 5K, and 2K fun runs through the scenic Pebble Beach fire roads — all while learning about disaster preparedness and community safety.

A huge thank you to all the participants, vendors, and partner agencies who came out to make this another successful event. Your support helps build a stronger, safer, and more prepared community! 💪🔥

This cooperative vegetation management project is a joint effort between:
