We are very happy to welcome two Assistant District Attorneys to our office.

Jesslyn Bracco joined the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office in August 2026. ADA Bracco graduated from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2023. She began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in 2023 at the Bronx County District Attorney's Office, where she prosecuted various misdemeanor and felony cases from their inception to disposition in the General Crimes Bureau. She then continued her career at Black Marjieh & Sanford LLP where she handled depositions, drafted motions, and participated in oral arguments.

Gregory Alker joined the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office in August 2026. A graduate of Loyola Law School (Los Angeles) he started his career with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office in 2000, where he prosecuted serious and violent felonies as well as white collar crime cases for over 14 years. In 2014 He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and joined the San Francisco District Attorney’s office where he primarily handled civil and criminal environmental and OSHA cases. During his tenure as a prosecutor, he tried over 40 cases. From 2020 until 2025 he entered private practice and focused on corporate transactional and tax work. Greg will focus on financial crimes at the Putnam County District Attorney’s Office.

Jesslyn and Gregory were sworn in today by Putnam County Clerk, Michael Bartolotti.

Assistant District Attorney Luciana Savone is back from Dallas, Texas, having attended the weeklong Crimes Against Children Conference (CACC). Her attendance was in coordination with the Putnam County Child Advocacy Center.

The CACC is the largest international conference of its kind, designed for professionals involved in investigating, prosecuting, and supporting victims of crimes against children. The presenters and attendees included law enforcement, child protective services, prosecutors, medical and mental health providers, advocacy groups, and technology experts from across the United States and around the world to share knowledge, best practices, and innovative strategies specifically geared towards child protection and a multi-disciplinary response.

ADA Savone attended fourteen sessions which covered a variety of topics including investigative techniques, prosecution strategies, victim support, and the use of technology in child protection cases. Her attendance has provided her with access to additional "on demand" sessions, legal resources, and contacts across the country which will help her and our office better serve special victims and their families.

Our office takes crimes against children very seriously, and we do everything possible to educate and train our Assistant District Attorneys. ADA Savone has confidently and aggressively taken on the prosecution of these crimes, often the most emotionally distressing and complicated cases and investigations in the office. We applaud her for fighting to protect children in our county.

I vividly remember Neil Armstrong walking on the moon on this day in 1969. I was captivated, utterly captivated, as was the entire world. It was a wonderful time and a great day for America. You can observe a very good brief synopsis here (just ignore the advertisements...)
