The FACE FamFest is almost here! šŸŽ‰ This FREE fun family event is tomorrow, Thursday, May 7, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Dyer-Kelly Elementary School (3101 Bell Street, Sacramento). The first 100 families who attend will receive a free family swag bag filled with fun items for the whole family!

Join us for this FREE health, wellness and family community engagement celebration that connects all district families with resources, promotes student well-being, and showcases ways families can learn and have fun together. Families that attend this event will be able to participate in interactive STEM, art, dance, sports activities, and a community resource fair to learn about summer school programs. There will also be a food box distribution for families in attendance. We hope to see you there! 🄳

Calling all San Juan Unified community! šŸ—£ļø

As a reminder, please join us tomorrow, Thursday, April 23 from 3:00–4:30 p.m. at San Juan High School (7551 Greenback Lane, Citrus Heights) for our April Community Care Hub event, which is a free monthly resource fair offering families essential tools and resources to support student success. At this event, families can access tangible resources such as emergency food boxes, diapers, hygiene products, learning-at-home tools, and learn about a variety of community and district resources to support their family.

This month’s Community Care Hub will focus on Kindergarten readiness. summer resources, and will include an immunization clinic and many more family resources and community supports!

No pre-registration is required and all resources are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. We invite all families to stop by, connect, and access support needed!

Don’t forget to join us tonight (Tuesday, April 21) at our District Office (3738 Walnut Avenue, Carmichael) from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for tonight’s workshop ā€œUnderstanding Special Education and Your IEPā€ presented IN SPANISH by WarmLine Family Resource Center and hosted in partnership with Special Education Department, Family & Community Engagement Department and parents from the Community Advisory Committee for Special Education.

Attendees will also receive an IEP binder and hands on guidance to organize IEP paperwork and supplemental documents. Feel free to bring your IEP to follow along!

As a reminder, please join us Thursday, March 26 from 3:00–4:30 p.m. at El Camino High School (4300 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento) for our March Community Care Hub event, which is a free monthly resource fair offering families essential tools and resources to support student success. At this event, families can access tangible resources such as emergency food boxes, diapers, hygiene products, learning-at-home tools, and learn about a variety of community and district resources to support their family.

This month’s Community Care Hub will also include a job fair with employers and supporting agencies looking to hire! Additionally, we’ll have health and wellness resources, including flu and COVID vaccines, child vaccination status checks, vision screenings, dental resources, and more!

No pre-registration is required and all resources are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. We invite all families to stop by, connect, and access support needed!

As a reminder, our ā€œSupporting Healthy Technology Use at Homeā€ family workshop is taking place tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Pershing Elementary (9010 Pershing Avenue, Orangevale).

Technology is a big part of kids’ lives—this workshop is designed to help parents feel informed, confident, and prepared to help their children navigate today’s digital world. Families will leave with practical tips, helpful resources, and information on where to turn if concerns arise. Presented in partnership with Sacramento County Office of Education’s School-Based Mental Health and Wellness team.

Join us to learn about topics such as:
