It seems like Cumberland Township and Carmichaels Borough aren't alone in dealing with this issue. Now that summer is here, we'd love to see kids and adults enjoying the great outdoors - without turning safety into a bad joke. Let's have fun, but not at the expense of our well-being. The main problem we're hearing about is people being reckless on E-bikes and scooters, like blowing through stop signs and intersections without checking for 5,000-pound vehicles that could ruin your whole summer. Parents, you're the ones who'll get the bill if your kid's a menace on wheels, and trust us, the fines from the Commonwealth of PA will be more than the bike's worth (let’s not give them more then they already get). So here's a free activity: learn the safety rules, dangers, and laws for E-Bikes and scooters before you hand them over to your kids. And to those wondering about Electric Dirtbikes, sorry, your dirt bike is still a dirt bike, and the road isn't your playground.
