The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., shut down a dozen extracurricular and social clubs for cadets centered around gender, race and ethnicity — stating that it was doing so to comply with the Trump administration’s push against diversity, equity and inclusion programs at all levels of government.
The full list of disbanded clubs is:�• The Asian-Pacific Forum Club�• The Contemporary Cultural Affairs Seminar Club�• The Corbin Forum�• The Japanese Forum Club�• The Korean-American Relations Seminar�• The Latin Cultural Club�• The Native American Heritage Forum�• The National Society of Black Engineers (West Point chapter)�• The Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers (West Point chapter)�• The Society of Women Engineers (West Point chapter)�• Spectrum�• The Vietnamese-American Cadet Association
The memo said all student clubs would undergo a review to ensure they comply with the Trump administration push to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion policies.
