I raised major concerns about how the U.S. military could have better protected troops from an Iranian attack on our base in Kuwait in March. Now, survivors of this deadly attack say they’re not getting the care they need. We owe it to all our troops and their families to fight for better—when they serve and when they come home.

Now, 18 U.S. troops are dead, more than 700 are wounded, hundreds of Iranian kids were killed, prices are up, and Americans are no better off. The American people agree: we should bring our troops home and end this war.

No local water system should be a lone cyberwarrior on the frontline against nation-state cyberattacks— we saw the Iranians hack Aliquippa's Water Authority in 2023. I've got a bipartisan bill with Congressman Brad Finstad to help local water systems shore up their cyberdefenses. This is a national responsibility—the federal government should help us guard against these foreign hackers.

The IRS is not working how it needs to right now. High call volumes, long wait times, and unanswered call-back messages are unacceptable—this poor public service contributes to eroding trust in our government. I am pushing the IRS to do better.
