Alfalfa Volunteer Fire Department

Alfalfa Volunteer Fire Department We are a volunteer fire department serving the Alfalfa, OK community and assisting other departments in the area

We would like to address an issue that has been happening at our station. We have noticed pets being dropped off and left at our fire department. We ask that you please don’t do this. We do not have someone up there daily, it is hot outside and there is no outside water for any animals left there. Also with it being on the highway, there is a good chance that whatever animal left there will be hit by a car.
We have quietly dealt with previous animals being left (rehomed) but with this last bunch left, it was time to speak up. Please don’t do this. If you absolutely must get rid of a pet, please try to contact an animal shelter or message us and we will try to help.

UPDATE: All kittens have found a home!

On that note, we have 4 kittens that need a home or someone willing to foster them until a home can be found. They are currently underweight but are being fed dry kitten food that can go with them to their new home. Please send us a message if you are willing to help!

Be safe out there today!

“This is the last weekend someone in the USA will have all 10 fingers.” 🧨🖐️
Funny saying — but sadly, it’s true every 4th of July.

Fireworks injuries are no joke. 🚑 Every year, people — especially kids — end up in the ER with burns, lost fingers, or worse.

👀 Parents: Keep a close eye on your children.
🍻 Adults: Put the drinks down if you're lighting fireworks.

Let’s end the holiday weekend with all fingers, limbs, and eyesight intact. 🙌🎆👁️

And btw, happy July 4th! 🎇🍔🗽

This is why community support and donations are so important to volunteer departments. We just don’t get a lot of funding so most of our costs are covered primarily from donations. We are so thankful for each and every donation, no matter how small!

This ban is in effect for 14 days, unless otherwise removed.
