⚠️Traffic Pattern Changes at Carnegie Elementary⚠️

By now, you've probably noticed that the Carnegie Elementary Renovation Project is well underway. We want to ensure that the community is aware of changing traffic patterns in the area at school pick-up and drop-off times. Please use the map and directions below to help us make this a safe school year for our community.

Morning Drop-Off (approx. 8:15-8:45)
-Parents who choose to drive their students to school will drop off students at the corner of Charles Street and Franklin Avenue. There will be NO PARKING on Charles Street within 30 feet of this intersection during school drop-off time.
-Students will exit four vehicles at a time when directed by school staff.
-Students will exit the car on the right-hand side of the vehicle and proceed to the main entrance.
-ALL TRAFFIC WILL TURN LEFT ONTO FRANKLIN AVENUE DURING SCHOOL DROP-OFF TIME. Please refer to the map below and adjust your route accordingly.

Afternoon Pick-Up (approx. 2:45-3:15)
-Pick-up remains largely unchanged. Parents who drive to pick-up will need to park on nearby streets and walk to the building to meet their child.
-Please follow the pick-up information provided by the district so that you know where to meet your child after school.

Carnegie Police Department will be providing additional officers to help ensure traffic flow and student safety, but the public can expect delays as we all adjust to the change in traffic patterns during the renovation.

Above all, please be patient and mindful of the neighbors in the streets surrounding the school, keeping driveways clear and accessible. If there are any changes, we will communicate with the community here.

We wish everyone a safe and happy school year!

Carnegie Borough – Early Collection Notice

Due to the forecasted extreme heat, Carnegie Borough has been notified that County Hauling crews will begin their routes earlier than usual throughout the week. This adjustment helps ensure crew safety while maintaining reliable service for all residents.

To assist with the schedule change, please place all trash and recycling at the curb the night before your regular pickup day. Early set-out will help prevent missed collections during the temporary shift in route times.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep collection crews safe while they continue providing essential service to our community.
