Almost half of Pennsylvania's private workforce, which is about 2.5 million people employed by over a million small businesses, operates on slim margins and may not be able to absorb the higher electricity costs being driven by data center development.

The report notes the capacity costs increases will "translate into a 10–20% rise in residential electricity bills and up to a 29% increase for businesses.”

Dolly Parton was an inspiration to people across the world. She was a fighter for the working class and the LGBTQIA+ community. Her humanitarianism will never be forgotten. She easily could have been just another billionaire, but instead she chose to give back. May you finally rest in peace, Dolly, and may your light continue to shine ever so brightly across the world.

Very proud to continue the annual Butterfly Festival began under Mayor Stacie Riley! I was happy to welcome Mayor Riley to the event yesterday.

The Shade Tree Commission ran out of plants in record time again! It was great to see so many folks interested in learning about native plants and gardening.

Thanks to our work, the population of Monarch butterflies and other pollinators is rebounding slowly!

I believe term limits to all Allegheny County row offices and Council are both desired and necessary to foster access, new thinking, and accountability.

Allegheny County Council voted 9-6 to appeal the court ruling that keeps term limits off the November ballot. While the ruling affirmed Council's authority to impose term limits via referendum, it mandated the agreement of an elected Government Review Commission to place the question on the ballot.

We believe voters should have direct access to this ballot question.
