Today is the primary election day. Over the past few months, I have been out and talking to you, the voters. It is clear to me now more than ever that the reasons I got into this race are the cost of living, protecting access to healthcare, and defending our democracy. These are the things we need our leaders to focus on most right now.

So as you go out to the polls Today, I hope that I have earned your vote and that you will vote for me!

Let's contact our state electeds when the next legislative session starts after the November election and ask them to put this on their list of priorities.

Hawaii just became the first state to pass a bill stripping corporations of the power to spend money in elections — not regulating that power, but never granting it in the first place. The bill now sits on Gov. Josh Green's desk. He has until June 30 to veto it. If he signs and it survives court challenge, corporate dark money in Hawaii politics becomes void. Every other state is watching.
