Last night around 10 pm, your volunteers were dispatched to a report of a house on fire with possible entrapment on Flynn Ave. 118 Engine arrived on scene as the first-due engine to a single-story ranch house with smoke showing. 118 Engine got a report on scene of somebody still inside the residence and that the fire was in the basement. All searches were negative, and nobody was inside the home. 118 Engine worked on suppression and overhaul. Crews were on scene for several hours before returning to service. The fire is being investigated by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office.

Yesterday morning around 3 am, your volunteers and mutual aid were alerted for a reported house fire. 118 Deputy arrived on the scene with fire showing from the back of the house. 118 Engine was assigned as the 1st due engine and worked on suppression and overhaul. Units operated for nearly 2 hours on the scene before returning to service. The fire is under investigation by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal's office.

Today, the Carnegie Volunteer Fire Department proudly pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have served and to the families who carry their legacy forward. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten.

This Memorial Day, we ask our community to join us in reflecting on the true meaning of the day and remembering those who gave everything in service to the United States.

The Carnegie Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank everyone who participated in and supported our Annual 5K Walk & Run this year. From our runners and walkers, to our sponsors, volunteers, donors, and community members — your continued support is what makes this event such a success year after year.

We are truly grateful for everyone who helped make this another outstanding event. The support shown for our department and community never goes unnoticed, and we appreciate each and every person who played a part in making the day special.
