Carney-Nadeau Public School is currently seeking applicants for three expiring seats on its school board. All three board seats will expire December 31, 2026 and new board members will be elected via ballot at the November 3, 2026 General Election.

To be eligible, a person must be a registered voter/resident in the Carney-Nadeau School District. A candidate must be at least 18 years of age; a citizen of the United States; a resident of the state of Michigan for at least 30 days; and a resident of the school district on or before the 30th day prior to the date of the election. Property ownership is not a requirement for candidacy.

Anyone interested in seeking a board seat, would need to complete a Nominating Petition form with at least 6 signatures from registered voters residing in the CNPS School District along with an Affidavit of Identity form that would need to be filed with the Menominee County Clerk’s Office by July 21, 2026, thus ensuring that your name was on the November Election Ballot. Both forms are available here in our main office and please don’t hesitate to call us @ 906-398-3052 if you would like additional information.

Shout out to our 2017 CNPS Alumni, Hunter Eichhorn! From his earliest days on the golf course with his Grandpa Steve, Hunter developed a passion for the game that has grown into something truly remarkable. Today, he stands on the brink of realizing a life long dream with a potential run at the PGA Tour. His story is a testament to the power of family, hard work, and believing in your goals, and we are proud to celebrate his achievements!

As is so often the case, this ended up being a larger and more complex project than I had initially envisioned, but this morning Jon Wagner and I completed our renovation of the flower beds nearest our main entrance. The previous beds served us well for the past 30 years, but they were definitely due for an update. Infinite thanks to the Toro Company for generously awarding us a grant to purchase all the materials. There was even enough left over for us to fill the beds with new flowers, shrubs, and plants, all of which will be coming soon!

Our 4th and 5th grade students visited Fort Mackinac, Kitch-iti-Kipi and Mackinac Island. The kids made the adventure fun and enjoyed learning all the history it has to offer.

We would like to thank DeBackers Burger Trailer, La Catrina Mexican Trailer and Al/Suzanne Macnaughton for their generous donations.
