Join us Saturday, August 29th from 11 AM–2 PM at Dunn’s Park for Badges & Backpacks, presented by CP-PG MAPSA!

We’ll be giving away backpacks & lunch boxes.

Theres a change in entertainment this year as we have live music from Dave Boucher Music!!!

This is your chance to meet first responders from our community.

🎒 IMPORTANT: Children must be present at the event to receive a backpack.

Come out, say hello, and help us get our local kids ready for the new school year! We hope to see you there!

The contractor will be painting traffic lines and crosswalks on Route 130 on August 24, 2026, and August 28, 2026 as part of the original state contracted paving job. This will be a mobile operation, but expect temporary stoppages during the process.

New Jersey weather brief for today’s storms.

The Route 130 construction is a state job. No notification was given to the township about the project. I inquired why there were no police doing traffic on the first night and I was advised that only state police could do state jobs. I was advised that local police could not be used. I was told that no state police were available to work the job. I called the next day to confirm, and was told the same thing. We were not given any detour plans or road closure plans. I spoke with our NJDOT engineer and I was advised the contract is from the Delaware Memorial Bridge to Bridgeport. The job is expected to be completed by July 24, 2026. Carneys Point Township was not part of the planning, and we were never notified about any of the plans.

Happy 250th birthday America! It’s going to be a very hot day. Make sure you stay hydrated, try to take breaks from the heat, and above all STAY SAFE! If you plan to use fireworks, make sure you are in the proper state of mind to set them off. Enjoy this beautiful day!
