The Police Unity Tour arrived in Washington DC this afternoon and they were welcomed by supporters, family and law enforcement. Thank you to all the bicyclists who participated to remember our fallen brothers and sisters, and thank you to all the supporters and sponsors who make this possible.

⚠️ Traffic Advisory ⚠️

Due to construction on Georgetown Road, the eastbound lane on Georgetown is closed from Shell Road to Holly St.

The westbound lane of Georgetown Road remains open, allowing access to Lafayette-Pershing School.

A signed detour is in place directing traffic from Shell Road down Laurel St to reconnect with Georgetown Road.

This traffic pattern will remain in place for at least the remainder of this week, and possibly into next week, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Please use caution in the area and expect delays

Chapter 2 of the Police Unity Tour rode through Carneys Point this afternoon. They started at the Battleship New Jersey in Camden and will end in Washington DC on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. The Police Unity Tour is to honor all those who fallen in the line of duty. Local officers riding this year are Lt. Joseph Racite - Carneys Point Police, Sgt. Jason Efelis - Pennsville Police, Sen./Inv. Nick Efelis - Salem County Prosecutors Office, and Trooper Mixali Efelis - Delaware State Police. Awesome sight to see! Have a safe trip!
