Getting everyone home safely is a goal shared by every law enforcement agency participating in the SAFE 64 Traffic Safety Initiative.
Recently, Carol Stream Police Department Deputy Chief Brian Cluever joined law enforcement leaders from across DuPage and Kane Counties as they prepare for the coordinated SAFE 64 enforcement campaign beginning June 4 along the Illinois Route 64 corridor.
This regional partnership reflects a shared commitment to traffic safety and protecting the communities we proudly serve. By working together, participating agencies will focus enforcement efforts on the driving behaviors most often associated with serious crashes:
🚓 Speeding
📱 Distracted Driving
🔒 Seat Belt Violations
🍺 Impaired Driving
⚠️ Aggressive Driving
Every traffic stop, every safety message, and every partnership has one purpose: helping motorists, passengers, bicyclists, and pedestrians arrive at their destinations safely.
The Carol Stream Police Department is proud to stand alongside our regional partners as we work together to make Route 64 safer for everyone.
We like to thank the Midwest Center for Traffic Safety for their support of this initiative.
We would also like to thank the thousands of drivers who travel Route 64 every day and make safe choices behind the wheel.
Thank you for buckling up, putting distractions aside, obeying traffic laws, and helping make our roadways safer for your families, your neighbors, and our community. Your commitment to safe driving truly makes a difference.
Because at the end of the day, the goal is simple:
Everyone gets home safe and sound.
