This year's statewide Tornado Drill in NC will be this Wednesday, March 4th, at 9:30 AM. Every school, business, and residence is encouraged to participate in this drill. It’s really easy: at 9:30 AM on Wednesday March 4th, take a few moments to practice your severe weather safety plan, and seek shelter for a few minutes as if a tornado was headed your way.

Awards Night 2026!

Monday night we hosted our annual awards night and recognized our 2025 accomplishments. We recognized new members, positions, certifications, and service years. Multiple members and crews received special awards. We are so proud of our members and can’t wait to see what we accomplish in 2026!

Rookie of the Year: Mia Hamm
Firefighter of the Year: Kaela Groseclose
Officer of the Year: Eric McDade

Most calls for service: Sonny Lyon (volunteer) and Jaxon Hudson (full-time)

Most training hours: Dossie McLeod (volunteer) an David Schifter (full-time)

Unit Citation: Simon Sanders, Kenneth Athing, and Turner Rogers

The Santa Deliveries waitlist is now closed. Thank you for your interest in participating in this year’s Santa Deliveries! We are so thankful for all the support! Everyone registered will be notified of their delivery date. Those on the waitlist will be notified of their status by December 10th.
