The 9th annual Town of Grant Fire Dept. $500 daily calendar raffle in November will be available for sale and will be distributed to area businesses.
This fundraiser is very important to us. We use hundred percent of the money to purchase Firefighter turn out gear and a couple breathing bottles. The cost of a set of gear has risen to over $3000 a set and an air bottle is gone up to right around $1400 a bottle. We are hoping to sell all the tickets again. We have been able to sell out every year since the raffle started.
Tickets will be available at businesses, firefighters, and friends of the fire department.
Total payout is $15,000 and we make $ 10,000

We made an improvement for the water fights in October, a couple new straight bore nozzles,
Also, we would like to thank some people.

Toby Kersten, Kersten Excavating for the donation and delivery of a quad axle load of red granite, crushed gravel. Joey Jueds delivered it.

Brian Poppe for the use of his transit and roller.

Firefighter Barry Grimm for helping place it with skid steer.

For your information, there seems to be extra traffic on swamp rd in the construction project. We know there is a road closed sign down by the construction. This sign was added at the intersection of Rangeline Road and Gerbig Road so if anyone wants to go West? Maybe this will deter some of the people that are not local to take this road around.

Hello, just a little update,
Our ninth annual $500 daily November calendar raffle tickets will be coming out soon. And we will get them distributed out to businesses, firefighters, and our friends to sell.
Also we are going to have this will be our third year of having a friendly water fight competition at the Town Of Grant Townhall Saturday, October 10th starting at 11 AM registration 10:30 AM , you will be playing for the traveling trophy. Which is held right now by Grant team two.
We are also going to add a little kids obstacle course there will probably be 2 age groups. We are working on the specifics of that. It’ll be a timed event. The little kids will each receive something for competing and probably something a little extra for the first few places. We’ll see how it goes.
We’re gonna have it during the water fights, but we’re not sure yet as far as timing. I am going to share a video post right after this from the Laffeyette Fire Company of how they do their obstacle course for their cadet program. It will be somewhat similar, but we are also gonna have a smaller age group where they can do something similar to that on a smaller version.
Forgot to mention there is no entry fee for the water fights. We will have water to drink that’s free. We are gonna probably have 50 hamburgers and 50 brats available to eat maybe put a donation jar up for that that money could go to purchasing us firefighters gloves, and nomex hoods. Thank you Jeremy and Skyler !! for the picture this was taken from the Rosholt area toward Tigerton , according to them this was the one that was west of Tigerton heading toward town.
As of right now we have not heard any reports of damage in the Town of Grant.
