Sunny Hill School

Sunny Hill Elementary School is 1 of 8 elementary schools in the Barrington 220 School District. Sunny Hill Elementary opened in 1954 as a K-8 school.

At that time, the building sat on a hill surrounded by farms to the north, east and south. It is said Sunny Hill received its name from a family who was walking up the hill to school on a sunny day. Today, Sunny Hill serves as a hub in the Carpentersville community. Barrington 220’s Bilingual Parents Advisory Council (BPAC) holds its monthly meetings and events at Sunny Hill. It is also a club site for the Boys and Girls Club of Dundee Township.
