Carrabelle Residents and Visitors,

The Carrabelle Volunteer Fire Department asks that you be conscious over the Independence Day weekend with the deployment of fireworks in celebration of the 4th of July.

Even though we have seen some rain, there are still risks of fire. Please have a water hose close and watch carefully where the fireworks land.

Remember that the pine straw and leaves on roofs and in the gutters dries out quickly with a little wind and sun and become very flammable with an ignition source such as a stray bottle rocket or roman candle.

If you see smoke or flames immediately call 911.

Have a great 4th of July weekend and be safe.

C.V.F.D.
