Join us in recognizing National Cancer Prevention Month all February long!

The Cancer Prevention and Control Research Network (CPCRN) comprises 230+ researchers from across eight Prevention Research Centers (PRCs), a Network of U.S. academic research centers led by the CDC. In a collaborative effort involving PRC investigators, federal agency and community partners, and affiliate members, our Network collectively strives to accelerate the adoption and implementation of evidence-based cancer prevention & control strategies.

Principal Investigator of our University of Washington CPCRN Collaborating Center and co-chair of the CPCRN Organizational Theory for Implementation Science Workgroup, Dr. Linda Ko works with co-investigators in the Network to translate scientific knowledge into tools to guide the implementation of evidence-based interventions (EBIs). For their local project, the UW team has developed a structured training, known as the “Implementation Studio," for uptake by rural community-based organizations (CBOs) to facilitate the identification and adaptation of EBIs to increase cancer screening rates.
