Press Release: Carrier Mills man arrested for pointing a bb pistol at an Officer.

Gary L. Adler, 59 of Carrier Mills was arrested for Aggravated Assault on 08-11-26 by CMPD. The arrest was made after an Arrest Warrant was issued stemming from a domestic dispute on 07-26-26. It is alleged Adler was armed with a bb pistol and pointed at a CMPD Officer who responded. Adler was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to an Evansville Indiana hospital after advising the Officer that he had consumed anti-freeze. He is being held at the Saline Co Jail without bond. Adler is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Press Release: Carrier Mills Woman faces Felony/Misdemeanor charges:

Katherine L. Hodges, 34, of Carrier Mills has been charged with 1 Felony count of Obstructing Justice and 3 Misdemeanor counts of Animal Cruelty. The charges alleged Hodges was responsible for 3 dogs who were abandoned and left to fend for themselves during a heatwave in July. Unfortunately, all 3 dogs perished. Hodges is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Press Release: Carrier Mills man faces Felony Charges

A Carrier Mills man was arrested for Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, Assault, Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer and Disorderly Conduct on Friday July 17. CMPD Chief Isaacs responded to a domestic dispute on Wiley St where Brothers Michael and Anthony Yates were involved. Michael stated Anthony was attempting to beat him with a metal bar during the confrontation. When Isaacs arrived, Anthony attempted to flee into his house ignoring Isaacs lawful commands. Isaacs pursued Anthony and a
physical confrontation ensued when Anthony attempted to barricade the entryway. Isaacs made entry and Anthony struck Isaacs in the face with a piece of metal causing injury. Isaacs gained control of Anthony and secured him in handcuffs before Anthony was transported to the Saline co jail. Isaacs received medical treatment at the Christopher health facility in Carrier Mills. Anthony Yates is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Press Release: CMPD makes Felony Arrest on Murphysboro man.

On 06-01-26, CMPD responded to a Domestic dispute where a victim suffered a broken collarbone, and multiple bruises. The victim called from the Harrisburg Medical Center emergency room where she was being treated for her injuries. The victim identified her boyfriend and Father of a child, Kevin D.Hale, 21, as the abuser. During the confrontation, the victim also stated that Hale destroyed her cell phone by smashing it with a hammer. CMPD completed the investigation and obtained an arrest warrant as Hale had already left the area. On 06-29-26, Hale turned himself in to the Saline Co Jail reference the active arrest warrant. Hale is currently incarcerated there without bond. Hale has been charged with Felony Aggravated Battery, Domestic Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. Hale is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
