Press Release: CMPD arrest man on multiple Felonies.

On 05-13-26, CMPD Sgt W. Johnston was dispatched to the East Walnut St area in reference to a Domestic Dispute. Sgt Johnston located an individual who was involved and identified as Tyler C. Sanders, 33 of Eldorado Il. Sgt Johnston quickly learned that Sanders was wanted for Escape from a Penal Institution, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Residential Burglary. Johnston placed Sanders under arrest and attempted to handcuff Sanders who physically resisted. Sanders kicked Sgt Johnston during the struggle which resulted in additional Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer and Resisting Arrest charges. Sanders was transported to the Saline Co Jail and incarcerated without bond.

Press Release: Carrier Mills Man arrested on Felony Domestic Violence

On Monday, April 27 at 4:45am, CMPD responded to the 700 block of E. Washington in reference to a Domestic Dispute. Sgt. Johnston located a female walking in the area that was emotionally upset and had received 2 black eyes and a cut on her nose. The victim indicated that her Boyfriend identified as Roman A. Taborn, 18 of Carrier Mills had battered her in a Domestic Dispute. The Victim also indicated that Taborn blocked her attempted exit of the residence and threatened her with a weapon. An ambulance responded to the scene and treated the victim before transporting her to Harrisburg Medical Center. Sgt. Johnston later located Taborn and placed him under arrest for Domestic Battery and Unlawful Restraint. It was also learned that Taborn violated an active order of protection during the incident. He was incarcerated at the Saline Co. Jail.

Taborn is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Press Release: Carrier Mills Residents arrested: Katherine L. Hodges, 33 was arrested for Wanted on Warrant for Aggravated Battery on 04-06-26. Hodges physically resisted Officers with additional charges pending. While in jail, Jason Shane Northrop illegally entered Hodges residence without permission. CMPD located Northrop hiding under blankets in the house and arrested him for Criminal Trespass to residence. Both subjects were incarcerated at the Saline Co. Jail. Both Hodges and Northrop are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
