🏫 Future Blue Devils, your time has come! 💙

We know summer break just started, the pool is calling, and school is probably the last thing on your mind! Before you completely switch into vacation mode, we want to give you plenty of advanced notice so you can lock these important dates into your summer calendar.

We are already so excited to welcome our incoming Kindergarten class and our new as well as returning 1st-5th graders to Pearl River Central Elementary School!

Go ahead and jot this down so you don't have to worry about it until July:

Incoming Kindergarten
Friday, July 17th
8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

1st Grade – 5th Grade
Monday, July 20th
9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Tip for Kindergarten Parents: This special morning on July 17th is all about our newest, littlest students and a second opportunity for kindergarten families to complete the registration process. Come ready to kickstart their elementary journey!

We’ve extended our hours on July 20th until 7:00 PM to make sure every family has plenty of time to stop by.

Now, go back to enjoying your summer—we just wanted to make sure you were ahead of the game! See you in July, Blue Devil family! ✨

Summer is officially here! As we transition into the break, the Pearl River County School District office will be operating under modified summer hours beginning on Monday, June 1. Have a happy summer!

PRC Football Stadium proudly bears the name of Kenneth L. Hendrix, a true American hero who gave his life serving our country in Vietnam in 1967. As we observe Memorial Day, we proudly honor and remember SPC4 Hendrix and all of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

SPC4 Hendrix’s legacy continues to live on here at Pearl River Central. Every time our community gathers in that stadium, it stands as a reminder of courage, service, sacrifice, and honor.

Please take a moment to read about SPC4 Hendrix, reflect on his life, and remember the price that was paid by him and so many others for our country.

May we never forget his sacrifice.

Important Graduation Updates: Weather, Parking, and Schedule Changes

We want to make sure tonight is an unforgettable and smooth experience for everyone, so we are keeping a close eye on the weather. Because of this, we are pushing our final decision on whether graduation will be indoors or outdoors back to 3:00 PM. As soon as that call is made, we will update you immediately via parent square, social media outlets and the district website.

Due to the recent heavy rain, our campus fields are incredibly soggy. The soccer and band fields are completely flooded and cannot be used for parking. To keep traffic moving and make sure everyone gets to the ceremony safely, we are putting the following parking plan into action:

For Graduates: Please meet at the elementary school by 5pm. From there, we will bus all graduates directly to the high school for the ceremony.

Open Parking: Will be available in the front lot of the high school.

Reserved Parking: The lots by the middle school and behind the football field are strictly reserved for our elderly and handicapped guests.

We know these adjustments aren't ideal, and we truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work out the kinks. Our priority is celebrating our graduates safely and giving them the incredible day they deserve!

Can’t make it in person? Don't worry—the entire ceremony will be live-streamed so you won't miss a single moment.
