We would like to wish everybody a happy and safe Halloween! 🎃

With all the festivities of tonight, we’re down to a skeleton crew 💀 Have no fear! Driver Hugh and Paramedic Maris have all phalanges on deck and are ready for anything the night may bring 👻

We do ask that you please celebrate, drive, and trick responsibly. Unfortunately, this crew can’t handle the sight of real blood, they just don’t have the stomachs for it.

A huge shout out to Carrington Fire Department 🚒 for inviting us to their extrication training! It was great to see all of the different techniques used; as well as learn some valuable information to better prepare us for these calls in the future. Both agencies were able to provide insight on what we would like to see from each other during these events. Coming together during training ensures the best care and outcomes for our patients 🚑

These men work hard for this community, and they’re all volunteer, so if you happen to find yourself presented with the opportunity, give them a big thank you! ❤️

✨Training Update! ✨
Our EMTs recently attended a skills lab to train on their enhanced skills. These skills included IV maintenance, supraglottic airways, IM injections/IM epinephrine. They also reviewed end tidal CO2/capnography, and sublingual nitro administration. Our EMTs maintain their enhanced skills certification to ensure that our patient care providers of all levels provide the best possible patient care! A special thank you to a couple of our Paramedics on staff for bringing their expertise and providing this awesome education!

For us, this week means celebrating all of the dedicated individuals whom ensure this community gets the care and response it deserves. Our Paramedics recently attended a skills lab to train on advanced procedures. These skills included chest tube placement, medication assisted intubation, initiating blood products, surgical airways, and ultrasound guided IV access. The extent of the paramedic skill set is vast and always evolving. A few of our paramedics also possess certifications in ground and flight critical care; which means their knowledge and skillset is more advanced in the treatment of critical conditions. We are grateful for our Paramedics and the excellent care they bring to our community! A special thank you to Sanford AirMed for bringing in their expertise and providing a portion of this education!
