While the firefighter wears and carries the weight of the gear, the family carries the weight of the wait. Behind every firefighter answering the alarm there is a family covered in prayer, trusting God’s protection and finding strength in prayer while holding the line at home in silent prayer, with a steady heart and unwavering pride.

Thank you, Michael Mathis from Siddons-Martin Emergency Group, for coming out the past two days to provide hands-on orientation and training with the new apparatus. We truly appreciated the thorough instruction and live demonstrations that helped us become more familiar with the apparatus components and operation.

Learning the new technology that comes with the truck really showed how far the industry has come while still keeping the functions straightforward, practical, and more efficient for daily operations.

Appreciate all the members who took the time to show up, learn, train, and become more familiar with the new apparatus and equipment. The dedication to continuing education and teamwork is what helps keep our department prepared to serve our community safely and effectively.

This Memorial Day, we pause not only to remember the fallen, but to honor the love, courage, and sacrifice that can never be repaid for our freedom.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

May God bless the families carrying the weight of loss today. May He give peace to the hearts that still mourn, strength to those who continue to serve, and comfort in knowing their loved ones will never be forgotten.

We stand united in gratitude and prayer for every hero who never made it home.

We Remember.
We Honor.
We Pray.
Never Forget.
Forever Honored. ❤️🤍💙
