Part-Time Maintenance Technician
The Village of Carroll is seeking a qualified candidate for a part-time Maintenance Technician position. This position is responsible for performing daily operational duties.
Job Posting Date: August 4, 2026
Hours: Up to 36 hours a week
Salary: TBD
Benefits: Paid vacations after a year
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Sewer Tank Repair
• Assist in the operation and maintenance of the pump stations
• Meter Reading
• Mowing, mulching, weeding, edging, and fertilizing garden beds
• Trimming small trees, hedges, and shrubs
• Assist with seeding, fertilizing, or laying sod on newly developed land
• Clean grounds and dispose of leaves, debris, and waste appropriately
• Planting shrubs, flowers, and trees with proper horticulture techniques
• Learn to operate small-engine machinery
• Perform general and routine building maintenance duties as assigned
• Perform snow and ice removal of Village property and streets
Qualifications:
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in landscaping or related field is preferred
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques and best practices
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions
