Our team is out and about delivering snack bags to local farmers in the field as a small thank-you for all that you do. Be on the lookout for our trucks at your field entrance or for snack bags near your seed pallets or tenders!

We are fortunate to have such wonderful farm families here in Carroll County. Today, Glen Eickman and his family were recognized for their dedication and stewardship while being presented the Good Farm Neighbor Award.

Looking to improve your pastures, hay fields, or fall forage production? Now is the perfect time to take advantage of this opportunity!

Applications are currently being accepted for hay, pasture, and fall cover crop seedings on a first come, first served basis. Funding is limited, so don’t wait to secure your spot.

Pasture and hay seedings qualify for a one-time payment once the seeding is completed and must be maintained for five years. This program helps producers invest in stronger forage stands, healthier soils, and more productive grazing for years to come.

Carroll County has been granted an extension to continue to serve our community with practices that encourage and expand on the current efforts of the Iowa Working Land Project.
We’re currently accepting applications for cover crops, crop to hay conversions, and crop to pasture conversions. If you’re interested in learning more about these practices, please contact our office at 712-792-1212 Ext. 3.

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig today announced a three-year extension of the popular, farmer-led Cattle and Conservation Working Lands Project. The extension renews program agreements in Taylor, Page, Carroll, Cherokee, Guthrie, and Ida counties through December 31, 2028. This allows participating counties to build on strong momentum to expand conservation and livestock-integrated systems on working farms.

This scholarship is open to Carroll County high school seniors pursuing a degree in any field of agriculture or natural resources.
